OddCandy | And Finally

Well, after all those serious shoots between me and Miss Carla Violet, the cold finally went to us and we decided to stay home and resume the shoots from there. We had so much fun that believe it or not, we forgot to have a shoot for the fifth and final look for the challenge, although I did still wear it, just--without the pumps..hehehe...

But these shots are just so awesome.

Another attempt at showing it off...damn!

These were our first shots, before hilarity ensued, as you would probably notice, I'm still wearing outfit no#4. These shots reminded me of a 90's photoshoot inside some disco or dance club!!

I call this one : Caliente hott! ahahahaa :)))

Finally, we were so caught up into it I brought out some of my most colourful clothes, and then we just sort of started picking off clothes at random, you know, like whatever goes. We got great shots!! It was so cool that our outfits were all in sync of each other.

This looks like something from Gap or American Eagle or something...I'm not even sure what...

This was so much fun that I'm so excited to do it again, hopefully with my other friends next time!!

OddCandy | Nutcracker & Madhatter

This is most probably my fave outfit of the challenge. The unused piece is a military-style blue top I have only worn once, bought early last year. It was verry pretty but I never got around to wearing it. @MissCarlaViolet : I love these shotssss!! all the credit goes to you :)

To stay true to the colorful toys I was inspired by, I paired the blue with equally bright red pants...Miss Violet asked me to wear the fedora much later.

OddCandy | Good Witch; Bad Witch

Still the same shoes, different outfit, this time inspired by witches (not the Harry Potter type witches, although they are pretty awesome, but classic witches, with their full skirts, hats and boils - minus the boil part; I don't think that would've looked very good on me) ...yeah,, hence the full-length accordion skirt and flowy top, and fedora...now all I need is a broom!!

Some of the pictures are pretty blurry, but at least you get an idea of what I am trying to show...

The pumps are the same, I just added some leftover cloth strings from a dress I cut up to make the straps, like Look # 1 :)

I'll be posting all these looks now because tomorrow I start my internship, and I really want to get this all posted before my fried-up brain forgets again :)))) love you all!!!

So, for my second blogger look with these heels, I went for 'jungle cat'; I know I heard something related to big cities and big cats before...but I can't remember what it was.

Ah well...for this look, the unused piece was a grey leopard-print cardigan. To be honest, it is actually not as unused as the other articles I used for the challenge, but I always wore it underneath coats and jackets, barely on its own as a standout piece, which was only once or twice. So that still makes it an under-used garment, right??

THE PIECE: Black Pumps

Carla Violet and I met up last Saturday, after a bout of inspiration, to have a photo session. We haven't had one in ages, and so we were both so psyched to meet and just dress up, take pictures and have fun. It was only a bit dampened by the fact that it was pouring outside, there was nowhere to take pictures, and it was cold!!!

She told me of another blogger (will update and credit the blogger later; have to ask Carla Violet first) and this idea, that we use 'one' article of clothing to create five different looks, and pair it with something that has been sitting in one's closet unused or has been only used once or twice.

My first look was inspired by Black Swan, using an embellished top I bought a year ago and only used once.

This was then paired with my gothic-ish tutu skirt, net tights and my pumps, which I tied with cords I cut out of an unused dress to resemble ballet slippers - with heels.

It was very whimsy with a gothic edge - loved itt!! Go to Carla's blog to see her challenge looks; she used a straw hat ;) I also credit her for the picturres, and Mr. Penguin for the cam...thanks!!

Gosh!! I have a large backlog of posts and the portable internet connection I bought here is reaaaaaaalllllllllllyyyyyyy slow...this outfit was what I wore last sunday. I've wanted to wear the grey dress for a while now; I think I've only worn it once since I bought it last year in a sale.

Carla Violet and I had the photos after Sunday Mass, taken by our verry own little siblings, who happen to be good friends as well.

Flying while on Holiday | Hong Kong

Well, technically this isn't the last part of my vacation since right now, I am here in Philippines (which is like, a million degrees hotter than Macao right now - okay, maybe not a hundred, but it is verrrrryyyyy hotttt!!! -) but this is the last destination for this series.

HK was - to put it shortly - a disaster!! It was so hott for all the clothes we were wearing and since it was Chinese New Year at the time, almost everything was closed!!! I didn't get to see or buy anything decent! Our hotel could not find our reservation, we did not get a reservation at the Hollywood Hotel in HK Disneyland, and every ride in Disneyland had a 30 minute to one-hour waiting time due to the massive influx of people!! I tell you, disaster!

But since I was with family, it wasn't that bad...
