A Hong Kong Minute

Hi sweeties! Greetings from the ferry from HK back to Macau, where I'm currently writing this next post. It's been a long day, but super fun nonetheless. So, my family decided on a short reprieve in HK for the weekend. We had everything planned - staying at a remote location to get ready for hiking at Tai Mo Shan (mountain), finding a reclusive waterfall, maybe go for a swim. Well, turns out my family does not fare better than I do in the travel planning category, because none of the above happened. Yep.

Instead, in a sudden stroke of bad luck, and then genius, we finally found ourselves at the Peak. HK was going through a rainy patch, but the afternoon burst out the sunshine in healthy doses. We had so much fun darlings, so don't fret. We're good =)

Anyways, outfit of the day is simple, but I guess I should have gone for something a little less...creasy. I hope my top doesn't give you cross-eye. Hahaha, it's so creasy.

L'Occitane | Reine Blanche

Day and Night Creams: c/o L'Occitane

Hi darlings! Today I've decided to make a little review of a product I received from the So Spa x L'Occitane Media Event I had the pleasure of attending last Saturday with Carla. Imagine my surprise when, after a full afternoon sampling the lotions and potions of the new Reine Blanche line and oohing and aahing, we got products of our own. They're amazing.

I have used L'occitane before, of course, my BFF is a mega fan of their products and always gives them to me as gifts. I have a shampoo and conditioner set that I absolutely love, that makes my hair smell like an open field of flowers for the entire day.

This cream is no different. Reine Blanche is French for Meadowsweet, and first things first, it smells amazing. It is a whitening product, and while I've never found the whole whitening craze my thing, I do like that it evens out my uneven skin tone. More importantly though, I love how my skin feels in the morning after sleeping on the night mask. Just smooth and dewy. Highly recommended. Oh, and I suggest doing the night cream massage ritual, it feels good. I try and do it for myself every night and my skin thoroughly relaxes. Tee hee.

The next time you're in this part of the world, make sure to go to the So Spa at the Sofitel Macau for the 'professional' version of the home massage ritual. I almost fell asleep just watching the demo - true story. Hahaha.

Lady of the Woods

Happy weekend my loves! I can't believe I let you off for another week, but with work taking over my every waking moment, and a full schedule of weekend plans, dates and whatnot, coupled, of course, with the horrid weather we've been having, pictures just seemed impossible to do during the week.

But here's a new outfit, one I chose to wear at a product launch for the new 'Reine Blanche' line from L'Occitane and the new 90-minute facial with exclusive products from that line at the luxurious So Spa in Sofitel Macau. Yep, quite an experience, with a delicious spread of wellness-inspired dishes for lunch as well. Anyway, I can iterate more on that later. For now, though, I wanted to emphasise just how much like a nymph I felt in this outfit, with the grassier background and the setting sun to complete it. Tee hee. I love this skirt, you all already know that. But more than that, I think I'm showing a bit of side boob here.

You gals must already know me. I'm not painfully shy. Hahaha.

Anyways, tomorrow is a Sunday. I plan to spend it relaxing and getting much needed quality time with the family, whom I feel I've been neglecting lately. Sigh. Life. Goes too fast, and at the same time too slow, in my opinion.

Lilac & Mint

Sigh. I'm still sick, and I was sniffling really badly during these photos, so I don't think they're my best. I was basically bed-ridden this weekend. Haha, I know, but the rest was good. I felt like I haven't slept in ages.

Anyways, here's a quick outfit I wore to visit my parents, now that my sister returned from her trip to Thailand. It's simple and very pretty. Don't you just love these pretty pastel shades? I love how lilac, mint and nudes actually work together, and work well. I am also really pleased with these sunnies - they add an iota of cool, don't they?

Sigh again. Woe is me, but there's really not much to discuss tonight. Tee hee. I'll be well in a jiffy and we can talk again next time! See you lovelies, till next time - Che

Super Stripes

Hi loves! Sorry once again for posting a bit late, but yesterday I was once again feeling under the weather. It seems to be a long time since this amazingly sunny Saturday as Macau has been nothing but angry storm clouds and torrential rain. Lots of rain. Of course I found myself without an umbrella, and then next thing I know I'm sick. Again. Sigh.

Anyways, so this was an all-stripe outfit I found myself wearing last weekend. I'm still such a big stripes fan, and I love wearing them altogether in different sizes for an interesting contrast. I love the nautical feel this outfit showed, but being me, I just had to make it a little less...sweet - hence the half-knot and thick choker! Voila!

Weekend's tomorrow again, but I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to rest during my weekends anytime soon. I have a packed weekend this time as it is. I'm not complaining though, always good to have some color in your life. Hahaha. I'm really feeling wordy and profound today, Hahahahaha. Can't help it, not tonight. Cool girl vibes. I chuckled drily to myself as I wrote that. I've never been, or even felt, like one of those girls. I'm much too self-aware and socially awkward for that. Insecure too. Haha, obviously I can't sell my personality to save my life. I am definitely not the 'Cool Girl' that Amazing Amy explained in 'Gone Girl' hahaha - too opinionated for that.

Anyways, let's not get distracted today. Tee hee. I love this outfit. This is one of my favourites ever. Such a simple concept - all black with a sky blue twist and amazing sunglasses. The layers are thin enough that I don't feel like I'm melting in my outfit, which is all I seem to do lately. My sweat ducts are working overtime. Ugh, I hate summer. But this outfit, oh I love! What do you think?

This weekend was, once again, all rest and relaxation. That's all I seem to be doing these weekends. I suppose it's because I've been beyond stressed at work lately. I don't know darlings. I honestly do not want to quit another job in just two years, but I think it's drifting that way again, and it's scary and so unstable. I just want stability, but I think this isn't it.
