Topic of the day: What's in the bag?

Okay, short post today sweeties. I'm so sorry I've been behind on my updates, but that's life. I had no time, just no time. So for this post I decided I'm gonna do a little cliche but satisfying post. So, onto the topic, what's in my bag? I heard somewhere that you can tell a lot about a girl from the contents of her bag. Is that true? Some only bring phone, keys and cash - so carefree. Some bring their whole house - so...a person with a lot of baggage? Maybe not.

Anyways, I never can leave the house (but always do) without these stuff. Sometimes all of them, sometimes less, depending on the bag I have on then. Right now it's this Chanel-esque bag from Nessa. So, one by one -

* My Samsung S4 in this cute bunny case. Super important. Without my phone, I can't function. Call me cliche but it's my time, my music, my contacts. Also my standard Samsung earphones. Never been one for headphones I suppose - doesn't fit my bag.

* Sunnies. When it's sunny outside, you can bet a dollar I have sunglasses. The direct sunlight in my eyes give me headaches. This time it's these cute sunnies from Bershka.

* Wallet from Stradivarius. Another semi-permanent part of my being. My ID, cards and money are in here. Hell I can't even live without my bus card (yes, I'm that attached to my stuff). A little trivia? I've lost my wallet over 10 times.

* Perfume from Shiseido. I'm not particular to any one scent, but this one fits in my bag. Pretty floral scent, perfect for summer.

* Hand sanitizer. Raspberry scent. That final solution for accidental dirt and grease.

* Mascara, bright lipstick and eyeliner. The only makeup I will ever need. I've given up powder and a lot of unneeded makeup, but these three I can't leave without. The lipstick and mascara are from Maybelline, the eyeliner is from a Japanese brand.

* A book. I almost always have a book in my bag. Someday I will be bored. I will need something to spend the time. Right now it's Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

Caution: It's rant day.

First things first - this outfit was for a particularly good day. Leon and I were together, we had a late (late) lunch with pancakes involved and walked around Macau without a care in the world. It didn't matter that we woke up late and missed our trip to Hong Kong. Nothing much ever matters as long as we had each other right? Hahahahah...your cue to barf. Just a simple suit-like combo with leather shorts, oh, and white shoes to even out all the black. I thought it went quite well, don't you?

Now, I want to rant today, because my life lately has been one shoddy day after another. I just find life to be so unfair lately. You know that saying 'when life gives you lemons'? Yep, life decided that I had been too complacent and has proceeded to throw barrelfuls of lemons on my head. Everything has been wrong lately. Luck's a fickle bitch, as they say. I, for one, am one of the most luck-deficit people you would ever meet. It's not as if I'm the unluckiest person in the universe (I'm not, and I'm grateful), but it's always happened that I would get a few months with extremely good luck, all at the same time and for more than one reason, and then suddenly the world will turn and I will pay for all of it. 2011, for instance, I had six months of extremely good fortune - I got my dream job, met my boyfriend, got to travel, had a big life epiphany that made everything better...yeah amazing right? And then six months later I was broke, I got into a serious accident, lost my job, and got alienated from the friends I have had for many years. And the cycle goes on. Every year.

I just wish I had a fair chance, a little here and there, because when it happens all together I can't cope. I don't want to get into any details but believe me when I say I would give away everything I have just to make it stop. Not all is lost though, sweeties. I'm trying to focus on the little things that still make me happy. I'm trying to cope. But it just seems so overwhelming. I know in a few months I'll look back and just laugh at the absurdity of the situation I had put myself into. But that day is not today. So wish me luck, I'll need it =) See you soon - Che

Rain. Sunshine. Rain. Sunshine. Rain............take me away please?

If you think I'm messing with your mind because my pictures seem to depict one sunny day followed by one rainy day, well...I'm not. That just happens to be the weather here right now. If I had lived anywhere else, I might have loved spring. Spring is the calm after the cold storm that is winter; it's the time of light showers and lots of soft sunshine. But nooooooo....in Macao spring is the most erratic season: hot, searing summer sunshine followed by days of rainstorms, making it one of the worst weathers you can find yourself in. Everyone gets sick. Like, literally sick.

Anyways, I made sure my outfit was as rain-proof as possible. No metal jewelry to corrode, no fabrics that cling, oh, and of course, no suede and/or cloth shoes. Yep, that's why I ended up in loads of leather, because it's rain-proof. Also in my outfit, my crochet top from summers past and these new, awesome jeans. I got them on the Pull & Bear sales pile for 75MOP. Yep, about 9USD. They were the last in my size, and aren't they awesome?

Do you find it such a bother to leave the house on rainy days? I'd much rather stay inside, cuppa coffee in hand, wrapped in a blanket and watching a marathon of my favorite TV series. Yep, we left only to take pictures and grab a late Thai lunch. Awesome in a 'I-did-not-accomplish-nothing' kinda way. I don't regret it in any case. Tee hee. Been brushing up on my TV, via internet. My favorite shows are Sherlock, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Castle, Cougar Town and Modern Family. I'm planning to watch Orange is the New Black and Hannibal. Yes, for Leon and me, movies and TV is a serious business. If you're on the fence on what to watch, feel free to ask me, or you can watch any of the shows above =) They're all awesome!
