It was a simple, understated Monday.
Gone are the times when my favorite days of the week are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Now my favorite day of the week is called day-off. And for the entirety of April that just happens to be Monday. Sigh...this is the problem with working hotel operations, you lose your weekends.
Anyways, we had an amazing, lazy Monday last week. The sun was warm, not stuffy hot, the streets were almost entirely empty because everyone just happened to be at work or school. Leon and I had a late morning coffee and then went to another island for a big lunch at Arirang. Korean food this time. We decided not to go for barbeque or hot pot because I really wanted to try separate dishes. We ordered Bibimbap (rice in a stone pot), Korean seafood pancake and the works. I was stuffed by the end of it, but healthy. I felt really healthy. How could you not, when everything had veggies or was steamed, or braised. So of course our next course of action was to proceed to a coffee shop for a not-so-healthy peaches and chocolate waffle and lattes. Hahahha...everything in relative sweeties.
Outfit-wise, well, I had something else in mind. But in the end I think this one summed up my day perfectly.Basic separates and Converse. I was comfy the whole day. Oh, nowadays I've been really into thin jewelry. After a lifetime's worth of statement pieces, now, I want those simple necklaces. This ribbon and L necklaces are probably my favorites! But I have more, a lot more. They dress up these simple clothes like no other in my honest opinion. Anyways, finally got my shopping fill today. I will show them to you soon, but for now, this is it!
So see you soon,
