Nope, 100% not real. I found this bag looking through a friend's Taobao account. It was cheap and hella cute. But the insignia of Chanel was right there, mocking me. I don't approve buying outright fakes. Is it wrong to buy fakes or not? Yep, the question of the day.
Honestly though, there are some things I will never buy fake, eventhough China has some pretty good replicas. So good you'll never know at a glance. Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags, wallets, even Aldo shoes. I guess there are some things in this world I would splurge the money for an original on - maybe Valentino rock stud shoes (I know where to find replicas for 10USD), a Celine trapeze bag or Burberry trench coat. But a phone case? Nope, I'd never consider Chanel a place to buy a phone case. Not on my working girl budget, which is peanuts. But it was just so effing cute. Like, super cute, and handy. Then my colleague (who bought one as well) made me a little more complacent...she said it's just a little girly fun. Just something trendy we'll do till the next few months when we get bored and move on to the next shiny thing. And it made sense. I change phone cases almost every month. In a month this would just be another piece of junk at the back of my closet, so I'm glad it's not Chanel.
So, how about it sweeties? What's your take on fakes?
