Today, let me share with you a typical summer activity I do every year, which is a trip to our local pool. I haven't gone swimming at Cheoc Van all summer! Which is ridiculous because I remember coming here almost everyday last year and the year before that. It has a significant memory for me. I think I will always be nostalgic when I go there.
So, Leon and I finally had the same day off (the last one before our trip), so when my BFF suggested we go swimming, we both agreed immediately.
Cheoc Van may be a local pool, but getting there is no easy picnic. It is in Macau's third island, still a forest if you will. The busstop is very specific, and very easy to miss. Actually, in some of the photos we were walking back because we missed it! Hahaha! After that comes the trek. Stairs, ancient stairs from many years ago. To get to the pool and back, you have to take these damn stairs. Imagine how that would feel after a workout at the pool!? Yes, torturous!
But, all in all, it's still worth the trip. We swam for hours, and relaxed. When the pool closed temporarily at 12:00 p.m. (yep, lunch time!) we made our way to La Gondola, which served delicious Italian Food - smoked salmon spaghetti, three cheese pizza and white wine Sangria to cool off. It's almost like falling back into an old routine. 16:00p.m. we were done and ready to return to the real world...sigh, bliss.
We took photos with Leon's new GoPro underwater camera, but since I haven't gone through them that would be for another time =)
Anyways, how do you typically enjoy your summer days? Share with me!
